Stabilization of the combustion value
Task
Natural gas is increasingly being supplied from a wide range of sources (biogas, LNG, LPG, and gas in place) and is therefore no longer fundamentally stable in composition.
Before the gases are utilized, they must be monitored for a minimum combustion value and Wobbe index. For stabilization of the combustion value and Wobbe index, air or liquefied petroleum gas is added, as necessary.
Solution
UNION Instruments offers an optimally equipped version of its CWD2005 / 2005 PLUS calorimeter as a solution for this. It measures the combustion value and Wobbe index, and the measured values serve as a controlled variable for any needed additions. The specific design of the calorimeter assures fast response times and very high measuring accuracy.
