Pipe network calculation for water networks

Task

In order to determine the capacities of gas supply networks, these are simulated on the computer using mathematical methods This simulation must be calibrated with the real behavior of the pipe network.

Solution

UNION Instruments offers mobile, highly-accurate ESS data loggers of the ESS3 A1 series for the pipe network analysis. These are installed temporarily at various underfloor hydrants in the pipe network. A sudden quantity load of the network brought about for measurement purposes produces corresponding pressure reductions at the various measuring points, which are compared with the drops in pressure calculated from the mathematical model. This enables calibration of the model.

UNION Instruments offers mobile, highly-accurate ESS3 R1 data loggers for the pipe network analysis. These are installed temporarily at various points in the pipe network and record pressure reductions due to quantity fluctuations. In gas networks, the largest drops in pressure occur at low ambient temperatures (greater gas consumption). For this reason, the data loggers themselves must be highly accurate at ambient temperatures down to -20°C.
